No, seriously, just imagine. Impossible, right?
Let me imagine for you. You ask your friends for any cool website for movies, or for some key word " What to do when my wife hits me", and for which your friends would look at you with some expression which I can't fathom.
Every day you go to some particular website where all the website names get stored, and then you have to go through the list one by one to find the website you are looking for. The search in that website would be damn slow that you give up the search and go manual. In spite of that, you would still be not sure if you got the right website or not. Imagine all this!
But, you would be perfectly happy by the end of the day. This is possible because you have no knowledge of search engine's existence, especially Google. Knowledge is misery, and Ignorance is bliss.
Imagine the same with SAP.
SAP (Systems Applications and Products) is a monstrous software product which has millions of code and giga bytes of data. As a SAP consultant, I noticed that myself and many of my colleagues spent huge amounts of time looking for information. That was almost like 30% of our project time.
30% of project is equivalent to millions of dollars.
Now, I want you to have this knowledge --- An intelligent search engine exists for SAP.
It is 3i, AKA Third Eye.
I wrote Third Eye, frustrated with the difficulty in finding information in SAP. Third eye has the capability of finding information within seconds...yes..within seconds, which is quite unthinkable in the present scenario.
For the first time in the history of search, third eye does not put restrictions on the length
of the search string. In Google, the bigger the search string, the less relevant the search results are. But, not with third eye.Third eye preserves the sequence of the words.
For example, if you have a piece of code, and want to look for a program which has that code, it brings up exactly that program. This is possible because, the whole search string becomes one key word for third eye...unlike Google, which indexes the key words.
Third eye is not only helpful for the developers; but also for beginners, functional consultants, managers, and even CEO's. This is one stop solution which cuts across designations.
Third eye is just part of the 'still unnamed' family of tools, which include upgrade
analysis and simulation. These family of tools helps in reducing the project time by making
the resources more intelligent.
Because, the difference between intelligent and not-so-intelligent person is, information and speed of access of that information.
Third eye can be easily extended to some other non-SAP applications.
I request everyone to open their 'third eye' to visualize the enormous benefits of this application.
Thank you,

Vamsee, thank you for sharing this info. Just wondering how hard is it learn SAP when you are just an average person and not a computer nerd
Hi Sneha, it depends.2 ways to go in to SAP.Functional and Technical. If you are not a computer nerd, you may go for functional. Initially, you may be confused..but it becomes very easy later.
I want to check out this product. Sounds very interesting.
I work in SAP and I often get stumbled at my work for not having enough information.
